    How do I join SACHSA?
   First, read SACHSA's Values and Constitution.
  Then, if you are in agreement, send in your membership form and dues.  It's that 
   easy.

   Where do I find books?
  You can find curriculum in many different places.  Here are a few links so you can 
  do research curriculum that is right your child's learning style and your teaching  
  style.

  Once you're a SACHSA member, you will be able to view the used books and  
  curriculum other members have to offer.

  What about testing?
 
With the help of our members, SACHSA usually offers
 Iowa Test of Basic Skills  
  once a year.
  We also have links to other testing systems.  Click here- Testing.

  Will my children be around other home schooled children?
  As a SACHSA member, you will be sent a newsletter showing all the events  
  scheduled for the month.  SACHSA has many activities throughout the year for
  your child to meet other kids.

   How do I "Graduate" my high school children?
  
There are different ways to graduate a home schooled student,
    but you as the parent are responsible for "graduating" your child. 

   Some Homeschoolers are considered graduated when they are able to pass the  
   ACT or SAT.
   or
   You can also be considered graduated when you pass the GED.

   Some curriculum offer ways to keep track of credits and transcripts.
   There are also may good books written on the subject of home schooling
a high  schooler.

  As a member of SACHSA you will meet other members who have graduated
  high schoolers and be able to hear their thoughts and ideas on graduating. Also 
  as a SACHSA member, your high schooler will be able to participate in
  SACHSA's  Graduation ceremonies.

  Are transcripts necessary to enter college?
 
Some colleges don't require transcripts, but MOST do require them.  
  And most colleges like to have transcripts that look similar to the public school.

  Most Texas colleges and universities require the ACT or SAT.
  Most colleges will accept the GED along with the state required THEA.

  Your high schooler could be exempt from  the THEA. 
  You will have to research the college of your choice and see their requirements.
