Everyone always ask " How much does it cost to go to college today?"

I've been recording the cost as my son gets his college education.
The numbers and totals below have come off of his college tuition and book receipts

Understand that everyone college education is different, but I'm sharing this
to show parents what they can expect in "today's" cost of a college education.

Note that my son still lives at home so the costs shown does not show
living expenses - only tuition and books.

Going from homeschool to a Jr. College was a good transition,
plus it saved him quite a few thousands dollars.

Two-year colleges. Usually two-year colleges are community colleges. Many are strictly commuter colleges with no on-campus housing.
These colleges generally offer classes at lower costs and tend to have a lower student-to-teacher ratio than larger four-year schools.

As you can see from the figures below going to a Jr. College to get
your core classes can save you an estimate of
  $1100.00 - 1200.00- per semester !!
That's $2,200 per year not including summer classes.
 * 2007 - ASU has raised their tuition an estimated $16.00 per credit.

SACHSA does not endorse any
one Jr. College or University.
